Welcome to Calla Rae Studio – Where Creative Expression Meets Mindful Crafting

Hello, I’m Catherine – a mum of three wonderful girls, a lifelong creator, and the founder of Calla Rae Studio.

For over a decade, I ran a successful Etsy shop, Ella & Boo. But through all the hustle and excitement, I couldn’t shake the quiet pull of my first love – cross stitch and needlepoint.

I still remember designing my very first tapestry at 17, during my A-Level art class. The thrill of seeing a design come to life, stitch by stitch, left me thinking, This is it. This is the path I want to follow. But like many of us, life had other plans – work, family, and a thriving business that kept me busy.

Yet, that original dream never faded.

For years, I put it off, waiting for the perfect moment – when the kids were older, when I had more time, or when I could fully invest. But one day, I asked myself, Why wait any longer? What’s truly holding me back?

The answer was simple: nothing.

So, I took a leap of faith, and Calla Rae Studio was born.

Today, from my cozy kitchen nook, I design bold, modern cross stitch kits that encourage creativity, foster self-care, and bring a little joy into your life. Each kit is crafted to be more than just a project – it’s a chance to unwind, find peace in the process, and create something meaningful to display in your home.

While I’m still on the early steps of this exciting journey, each order and every stitch shared by my customers confirms that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be – doing the work I’ve always dreamed of.
